Cable testing and diagnostics with the BAUR tracy

The new BAUR tracy partial discharge signal coupler for pin-pointing partial discharges on the cable delivers the functionality of its popular predecessor in a modern, user-friendly housing. The BAUR tracy induces a signal directly into the faulty cable via a flexible coil positioned around the cable, close to the pre-located partial discharge location.  

When combined with a PD measuring system, such as the BAUR PD-TaD 62 or PD-TaD 80, the induced signal can be located and compared with the result of the partial discharge pre-location. The display and evaluation of the pin-pointing of the PD location is quick and easy with BAUR Software 4.  The partial discharge source location can thus be determined reliably and precisely.
